Product Information
Here at Life with Elizabeth Rose, we believe in raising responsible & respectful children (toddlers to teens) by teaching them to help around the house.
When kids contribute, they learn important life skills & responsibility that will serve them later in life. They also feel a sense of purpose & belonging in what makes your family THRIVE.
We love using the reframe of family âcontributionsâ rather than âchoresâ â a tip we have happily adopted from the teachings of Amy McCready, founder of Positive Parenting Solutions.
Use your chart to:
- Break down tasks into morning, afternoon, evening and weekend columns. We have a âhow-toâ booklet with a comprehensive list of age-appropriate ideas. Check it out here.
- Tick each day of the week when your child/ren have completed each section of each day (i.e., aiming for 3 ticks each school day)
- Use the last column for your little ones to place one of our branded stickers at the end of the week to acknowledge their efforts or use it to write something encouraging, a reward if you prefer, or anything else creative!
- We love setting goals each week, and believe in encouraging children of all ages to begin this motivational & guidance tool, no matter how big or small it is
- Not sure what to do if you have a few spare columns on the chart? You can use them for tracking supplements or medications used by anyone in the family or use them for âextrasâ. For example, if you have 1-2 children, under their name, you can add an âextrasâ column to give them the opportunity to do more tasks than what has been set. Then this can add up towards something of your or your childâs choice.
